An Evening w/Cousins!

Friday after work I headed down to Don & Sherawn’s (Elizabeth’s Dad…my cousin) house because my cousin Elizabeth and her husband Adam, and their baby, Ross came down from Minnesota to visit! And it was fun to catch up with Don, Sherawn, and their daughter Jill who has a son, Ethan, that is just 2 weeks older than Ross! I think it’s so neat that the cousins are so close in age! I am sure they will be buddies! I hadn’t seen Ross or Ethan since July and they both have changed a lot!! They are both about 4 months now!

“Grandpa Don” really got Ross to laughing…it was so cute!!DSC04814

He is such an alert, happy  little guy!!DSC04824

This is Emma, Elizabeth’s brother’s little girl. She was SO tired!! She turned 3 on Saturday!!DSC04827

Ross loved Ethan’s high chair and little farm toy! So much, that Elizabeth said they were going to buy one on the way home!! :)DSC04828

Ha ha, caught Adam off guard!! He wasn’t too excited to take pictures!!DSC04830

After supper the boys played games, Jill had to take Ethan home to bed, and I helped Elizabeth give Ross a bath! He loves bath time! I had to snap a few pictures of the little cutie while Elizabeth lotion-ed him up!DSC04831    DSC04835 DSC04836 DSC04837 DSC04838    DSC04843

Vikings vs Packers Game

Kyle had a few of his crew over Monday night to watch the Vikings Packers game. Unfortunately they are all Packer fans!! But we let them come anyway!! lol I didn’t get too many pictures. But luckily the Vikings won ‘cause Kyle was sure “talking big” the whole game. I figured if they didn’t pull it out he would have gotten a hard time at work about it!!DSC04767

They even bought us Vikings’ koozies!! DSC04769

This was Barry’s sad face when the Packer’s lost!!DSC04771

And just for fun, I had to include a picture of my cute little puppy!!DSC04770

Our friends, Mel & Robbye who live just down the street, stopped over for a bit. They have 2 boy, Diego & Mateo. Diego was pretty excited to put on Kyle’s football helmet and throw the football around!! He’s so cute!!DSC04766

Sunday = Family Day

While we were at the Hawkeye game on Saturday, Stef & Geoff were rolling into Iowa on their cross country move to Omaha!! We met up with them, Dad, and Grandma for lunch at Applebees.

The bright light from the windows was not helping the picture! Doesn’t Dad look spiffy in his suit?!?!DSC04748

My sister is CRAZY!!DSC04750

Ok this one is much better!! I can’t even begin to express how excited I am that they are going to be SO much closer now!!DSC04752

Sisters!!!DSC047532

After lunch I went with Stef & Geoff back to Mom’s to hang out for the afternoon. We had my “birthday supper” that night with Mom, Duane, Dad, Mindi, Preston, Stef, Geoff, Kyle, and me! Since my job is so busy around my birthday we didn’t get to celebrate with my family so Mom made a very nice supper and we chatted the evening away!

Dad & Stef checking out places online in Omaha. They planned to go apartment/house hunting the next few days. DSC04756

Mom always lets us request our meal. So I said I like it when we grill at Mom’s and so she did! We had cheesy potatoes, squash, scalloped corn, and smoked pork chops!! Mmmm!! AND….oreo ice cream cake for desert!! A classic in our family!!

Iowa Hawkeyes vs Arkansas State Red Wolves

Kyle and I, along with Mom & Dad B, Travis, Laura, Melanie, and Steve spent the day in Iowa City tailgating and cheering on the Hawks to a win over the Red Wolves, putting the Hawks at 5-0!!!

We started out the day early, just like we always would, getting to the tailgate lot at 6:30am-ish!! We wanted everyone to get the “whole experience”!! :) It was a tad chilly too!!
